ALIX armchair by Desiree: a backrest woven from leather strips, a slim matt bronze metal frame and removable fabric or leather cushions.
The ALIX armchair by Desiree, designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, is modern, minimalist and striking. Its signature is a backrest woven by intertwining leather strips. Picked up by the oblique slant of the rear legs, the pattern is inspired by the diamond-shaped decorations of early 20th-century Milanese entrance halls.
The design won the Archiproducts Design Award 2023, was selected for the ADI Design Index 2024 and received the IF Design Award 2025.
The structure is in matt bronze painted metal with brown or forest-green full-grain leather webbing. The seat cushion combines polyurethane foam and MIND on a slatted support; the back cushion is filled with Eco-down. Cushion covers are fabric or leather, completely removable, finished with tone-on-tone piping.
